Dinkus is a local-first app. Your documents live on your Mac.

What Dinkus collects

Nothing. Dinkus has no account system, no sign-in, and no analytics or telemetry. It does not track how you use the app, and it does not send your documents, file names, or any usage data to Textualize or to any third party.

When Dinkus uses the network

Dinkus makes a network request in only one situation: when a document you open references a remote image by its web address (an http/https image URL). To display that image, Dinkus fetches it directly from the site that hosts it, exactly as a web browser would. That request goes to the third-party host, not to us, and carries no personal information beyond what any image request normally includes. Documents that reference only local images make no network requests at all.

Dinkus does not check for updates itself, phone home, or contact any Textualize server.

Spelling

Spelling and grammar suggestions come from macOS's built-in system service, running on your Mac. This is handled by Apple, subject to Apple's privacy policy, and Dinkus adds no data collection of its own.

Purchases and crash reports

Dinkus is sold through the Mac App Store. Purchases, and any diagnostic or crash reports you choose to share with developers, are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy — Textualize never sees your payment details. If Apple sends us a crash report you opted to share, it contains technical diagnostics about the crash, not the contents of your documents.

This website

This site is a set of static pages hosted on GitHub Pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking. Like any web host, the server may keep basic access logs (such as IP addresses and requested pages) for security and reliability; that data is handled by GitHub under GitHub's privacy statement.

The support page's contact form opens a message in your own email app — nothing is submitted through this website.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date above. Material changes will be reflected in a future app or site update.
